PRODUCTION
If you don't count the use of a Fisher-Price tape recorder during the 90s, Ciarán started recording music in 2003. His old band Stimulus (formerly Untitled) got together in their drummer's shed, with gear borrowed from friends and family, and somehow produced an original song and a Radiohead cover (without having a clue what they were doing).
An EP followed, along with an upgrade from a borrowed analog tape recorder to a PC-based setup with an M-Audio Omni Studio. Over the following few years he would learn the trade by recording his own music and friends' bands for free, picking up a degree in Multimedia from DCU along the way.
He has steadily been doing paid production work since 2009, as well as session guitar and vocal work. He can currently be found using an RME UFX interface, a Sphere L22 mic and he bounces between Ableton Live and Reaper.
The following is an extensive discography, featuring releases that Ciarán has contributed to in a production or session musician capacity.
