Ciarán Parnell

Ciarán started writing songs for a solo project in 2006 before releasing his debut acoustic EP in 2007. He writes colourful, catchy, fun songs about inanimate objects, Jaffa Cakes, and the internet. In 2013 he recruited some friends and the project matured from acoustic, singer-songwriter fare into a poppy, energetic full band. That same year he released the music video for "Colourway" and was featured on the Toast Office Records compilation.

Ciarán has played around Ireland on the same bill as the likes of The Wonder Years, Kurt Travis, Stu Daly, and Reuben Teskey; and he has collaborated with talented artists such as Ciarán Smyth and Galway songwriter Emma O'Reilly.

Starters

Starters formed in 2010 after a conversation while watching the football in the Woolshed on Dublin's Parnell Street. "Why don't we start a band that sounds like Tigers Jaw?" It didn't quite come out sounding quite like that but the band spent the next few years writing emotionally charged pop punk music and became a fixture of the local Dublin scene. With a unique three-vocalist dynamic they blended interesting overlapping melodies and harmonies with intricate guitar work. They have toured around Ireland, the UK, and Europe, sharing a stage with the likes of Man Overboard, Transit, Such Gold, Basement and Into It. Over It.

After releasing a string of well-received Demos and EPs (on tape and vinyl), they released their debut album, A Picture Fading, in 2016.
